VEIN TREATMENTS

Minimally Invasive Varicose Vein Treatments

At Fox Valley Surgical Specialists, we offer a range of minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins. Discover the details of each procedure below. Don’t worry about choosing the right treatment yourself—our expert vascular surgeons will recommend the best option based on your specific conditions.

Radiofrequency Endovenous Ablation

This procedure uses radiofrequency energy to collapse the great saphenous vein, eliminating this as a common source of varicose veins.

Laser Venous Ablation

Similar to radiofrequency ablation, this procedure uses laser energy to close the great saphenous vein.

VenaSeal

VenaSeal is a newer procedure that closes the great saphenous vein system without using heat energy, unlike laser or radiofrequency treatments.

Varithena

Varithena foam is injected directly into the affected vein using a small needle or catheter. The foam displaces blood within the vein, causing the vein to collapse and seal shut.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is an injection treatment designed to eliminate small varicose veins and spider veins.

VeinGogh

VeinGogh is a treatment for cosmetic spider veins that uses radiofrequency energy applied directly to the skin.

Microphlebectomy

Microphlebectomy involves a surgeon making small incisions over the blue varicose veins and physically removing them from the body.

Which Treatment is Right for Me?

The choice of treatment for varicose veins depends on various factors, (such as pain relief, blood clot prevention, etc.). These include individual vein anatomy and insurance coverage. Here are some considerations:

Vein Anatomy

The specific anatomy of your veins, including their size, location, and condition, may influence the recommended treatment approach. Your vascular specialist will evaluate your vein anatomy to determine the most suitable treatment option.

Insurance Coverage

Insurance benefits vary, and some carriers may preferentially cover certain types of venous ablation procedures over others. Your insurance coverage will be considered when determining the most appropriate treatment plan.

Medical History

Your medical history, including any underlying health conditions or previous treatments for vein issues, may also play a role in selecting the right treatment for you.

Your Vein Treatment Consultation

During your consultation, your vascular specialist will assess these factors and discuss the treatment options available to you. Together, you can determine the most appropriate course of action to address your varicose vein concerns effectively.
