About Dr. Wagner

A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Wagner provides comprehensive surgical care to patients of all ages, with special interest in Robotic Surgery, as well as hernia, anti-reflux, colorectal, gallbladder and minimally invasive surgeries. With over 22 years of experience and more than 13,000 cases, Dr. Wagner is the longest-tenured Robotic Surgeon in the Fox Valley. He shares his expertise by serving as a proctor, teaching other surgeons at specialized Robotic Surgery training centers.

Dr. Wagner enjoys working with patients to overcome their problems and illnesses by determining and applying the most appropriate surgical techniques. He believes strongly in personalized care and treats every patient as family. “I take great pride in my job and promise to do my best. I’ll work together with you, and always go to bat for you to ensure you receive the best possible care and outcomes.”

After completing his bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine at Western Michigan University, Dr. Wagner went on to earn his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed his internship at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH, and his residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Dr. Wagner also was named Carroll College’s 2021 Preceptor of the Year for PA (Physician Assistant) students.

Outside of work, Dr. Wagner enjoys skiing, fishing, hunting, cheering for all Wisconsin sports teams (especially the Packers and Brewers), and spending time with his wife, three daughters and two dogs.
