About Dr. Subbarayan

A board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in general and vascular surgery, Dr. Subbarayan’s interests include peripheral artery bypass, angioplasty and aneurysm repair.

Dr. Subbarayan places great importance on building a good rapport with his patients. Because these surgeries can be stressful and complicated, he takes time to have thorough conversations with patients and their families that typically include detailed drawings and clear explanations in everyday language, ensuring patients feel empowered to make the best decisions. “One of the things that really drew me to vascular surgery is having the training and expertise to perform both minimally invasive stenting procedures and open surgical procedures, allowing us to select the best treatment option for each patient.”

Dr. Subbarayan is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, OH, and received his general surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, and has authored articles on peripheral vascular surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Subbarayan enjoys playing the drum set and other percussion instruments, traveling, visiting aquariums, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, skiing, cooking and reading.

For patient convenience, our providers practice at multiple clinic and hospital locations throughout the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Please call FVSS for physician-specific locations.
