About Katie Erstad, APNP
Endocrinology specialist Katie Erstad brings over 15 years of medical experience to her patients.
As a Primary Care Provider for many years, Katie observed the high prevalence of patients dealing with endocrine-related conditions — and while researching and treating these conditions, discovered her passion for endocrinology. Among other conditions, she is experienced in treating diabetes, hypothyroidism, obesity, pituitary adenomas, osteoporosis and PCOS.
Katie’s person-centered approach emphasizes building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients. “I take time to really get to know my patients – not just their endocrine concerns, but as a whole. Learning what’s important to them will help them succeed in their endocrine journey.” She also enjoys helping patients understand new or complex diagnoses in a way they can comprehend, using familiar language, so they can participate in making informed decisions about their care.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University-Mankato, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She is also board certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys watching her kids play youth sports, fitness, cooking, traveling, reading and playing the piano.
