About Dr. Volodarskaya

A board-certified and fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon, Dr. Volodarskaya treats a variety of conditions, ranging from cancer, diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease to hemorrhoids and fissures. With extensive training in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, she can provide treatments spanning from in-office to traditional surgical settings. Dr. Volodarskaya enjoys the opportunity to treat people of all ages, genders and backgrounds, and works closely with patients to ensure they understand their unique conditions and all their options. “I understand patients are often embarrassed regarding colorectal issues, but my goal is to help them feel comfortable, informed and empowered to take control of whatever problem they’re experiencing.”

Dr. Volodarskaya earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Amherst College, her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and completed her residency in general surgery at Rush University/John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. She completed her fellowship training in colon & rectal surgery at William Beaumont University Hospital in Michigan, and is a member of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.

Outside of work, Dr. Volodarskaya enjoys spending time with her husband, son, dog, and two cats, tending to her many plants, and trying to visit all the National Parks.
