About Heather Foster, DNP, APNP

With over 25 years in medical practice, Heather brings an outstanding level of experience to her patients. Her passion for helping people led her to pursue two medical specialties: gastrointestinal and endocrine surgery. In both specialty areas, Heather takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on treating the patient, not just the disease.

“What I like best about my job is the opportunity to get to know my patients and help them along in their journey towards better health. I feel that education and empowering patients to take a lead role in their health decisions are the most valuable tools that I can offer.”

Heather earned her Associate and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing from Fox Valley Technical College and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, respectively, and is Certified in Family Practice and Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner. As part of her training, she completed clinical rotations in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Endocrine, and Long-Term Care. Most recently, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling with her husband and children, watching her children play sports, spending time outdoors and visiting National Parks.
